Cargolux
Maxim has joined Cargolux in September 2005 as a member of the Finance team. He held various positions throughout the years in the Aircraft Financing, Corporate Finance and Corporate Development departments. In August 2016, he was appointed Executive Vice President and CFO by the Cargolux Board of Directors.
Furthermore, Maxim is heading the Government Affairs and Traffic Rights Department and he oversees Cargolux’ representation at Airlines for Europe, the EU Commission, and the World Economic Forum.
At Cargolux he has been involved in the financing and refinancing of the 747-8F and 747-400 freighters as well as other assets. Structures implemented at Cargolux include export credit financings, senior debt financings, unsecured financings (Schuldschein), sale & lease back structures, Japanese Operating Leases, leveraged tax leases, PDP financings, structuring of aircraft joint venture vehicles, Islamic Finance etc. The most recent involvement was the next generation freighter selection process with the outcome of an initial order of 10 777-8 freighters and 6 purchase rights.
Lastly, he has board memberships in the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Cargolux Italia and Cargolux Re. He also holds advisory roles in the Industry Financial Advisory Council of IATA, the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics Supply Chain Management, and the presidency of the International Affairs department at Chamber of Commerce.
